This article will cover general tips for searching in ITrack. When you first click on the Part or Vehicle screen, you will see a search page. Once you search for and select a vehicle or part, you will view that part or vehicle details. You can return to the search screen at any time by clicking on Part or Vehicle in the navigation menu again.
🔎 Searching and Filtering
Use filters to find a specific part, vehicle, or a set of similar parts. Enter as many filters as you like and click the Search Inventory button for parts, the Search Vehicles button for vehicles, or press Enter/Return on your keyboard to bring up matching search results.
ITrack supports wild card symbols for searching. Use * in place of a character or multiple characters, or use ? in place of a single character.
For example, entering “F*” in the Make field will find Freightliner and Ford parts. Entering “3116?” in the Model field will find all 3116E and 3116T parts.
Default Filters
By default, the search screen includes a filter for Stores and Status. The parts search has a default Inventory Type filter, and the vehicle search has a default Unit Type filter.
Stores
The Stores filter automatically selects the store you are currently logged in to. If you do not have access to a store, you will not see it in the list.
You can select multiple stores if you want to check for inventory at more than one.
Inventory Type and Unit Type
The Inventory Type or Unit Type filter lets you find parts or vehicles matching a specific inventory or unit type. Type the name or part number to quickly find the part type you’re looking for.
Status
The Status filter lets you find parts and vehicles with a specific status, such as On Hold, Sold, Available, etc. By default, the @ status is selected, which refers to anything that is Available or On Hold.

Once you select a field, it will be added to the list of filters. You can add as many filters to the search as you like. Adding filters in this way is useful for specific one-time searches.
For example, a salesperson might want to find all available parts that came from a 2019 Freightliner Cascadia. A quick way to do this is to add the Vehicle Make filter, and the Year (Range) filter, and choosing Freightliner and 2019.
