Some search filters require some other filter to be used in order to give you filterable options. If you add a filter that requires another filter in order to work, that other filter will be added automatically. The same behavior will also happen if you remove a filter that was required by another filter. Removing the ‘top’ filter will remove any dependent filters.
In this example, I don’t have any filter but Stores and Status, and I will add the Assembly Model filter.
Once I add the Assembly Model filter, the Inventory Type filter and Assembly Manufacturer filters are automatically added as well. This is because I need to specify an assembly manufacturer before I can specify an assembly model, and I need to set an inventory type before I can set an assembly manufacturer.
